VOLUNTEER WITH US

Be part of the magic at the Regal.

The Regal simply couldn’t do what it does without its incredible team of volunteers. Whether you can give a few hours occasionally or want to become a regular face around the theatre, there’s a place for you here.

Volunteering at the Regal is a chance to meet new people, learn new skills, gain experience and become part of a friendly team bringing theatre, cinema and unforgettable experiences to our community.

Red neon-style icons representing various theater production roles: box office, bar, front of house, projectionists, lighting, sound, costume, window dressing, fundraising, and a message about additional features.

There are so many ways to get involved. You could be welcoming audiences Front of House, helping backstage, learning sound and lighting, supporting the Box Office, getting involved with costumes, marketing, fundraising, events and much more.

You don't need theatre experience — just enthusiasm and a willingness to get involved. We'll help you find a role that suits your interests, skills and the time you have available.

AND REMEMBER…

At the Regal, you're not just volunteering. You're part of the show.

Husband and wife, Cindy and husband Dave joined the volunteering family in December 2021 after seeing a Facebook advert for volunteers to help with the Regal pantomime. They had only recently moved to Tenbury Wells from Birmingham and thought it would be a nice way to meet new people and help in their local community. Now four years on, they can’t recommend enough the fun and rewards volunteering can bring.

ROY - BAR AND USHER

Roy says “Give it a go! You will meet so many friendly people; volunteers, staff and customers and you will get on with everyone as they are all so friendly. It also helps the Tenbury community and keeps the Regal going”.

ERICA - FRONT OF HOUSE

Erica says, 'It is an absolute privilege to be involved with such a beautiful theatre. I have met so many new people, both colleagues and customers, and have forged new friendships as a result. Volunteering at The Regal is busy and can be demanding, but is always fun and rewarding'.

The background features a locker, a white wall, and a window. The woman wears a black shirt with a volunteer badge hanging around her neck.

"We are incredibly lucky to have the Regal, and I love being a volunteer. Meeting and greeting the public gives me a great sense of pride as I get to show off our beautiful theatre, knowing I'm part of the team.

We all volunteer because of our shared love for Regal, and we have a lot of fun, always happy to help one another. I would happily recommend becoming a volunteer to help keep our community and this 'gem in the town' alive, while mixing with a great bunch of people."

“The best part of volunteering,” Andrea says, “is that I’ve met so many wonderful people—both colleagues and customers—and made lasting friendships as a result.

It’s an absolute privilege to be involved with such a beautiful Theatre.”

Tim moved to the area two years ago and having attended a recruitment day, decided to become a volunteer, with the hope of meeting new people in the town, making new friends, and getting involved in the community.

hattie - Volunteer Extraordinaire

Hattie has lived in Cleobury for fifteen years. Two years ago, after she completed her degree in Art and Design she started volunteering at the Regal when her aunt encouraged her to contact us. She initially started off doing set paintings for the community theatre but by the following year in 2024, she was painting amazing sets for the Cinderella Panto. In 2025 Hattie asked if she could get more involved. Due to her Tech interest, she has been working with our Sound and Lighting Team Coordinator, learning to set up lights, about setting sound ques and she also often volunteers on the live auditorium shows loading and unloading equipment and being generally on hand to assist and help out where needed.

“Volunteering is at the very core of being a human. No one has made it through life without someone else’s help.”
