Life of Brian is not a film about the Messiah. Unfortunately for the completely ordinary Brian, a lot of people end up thinking otherwise in this absurd black comedy from one of Britain's most iconic comedy troupes. As a result, Brian finds himself running afoul of Romans and hounded by mistaken followers in a plot that was branded as blasphemous by many religious groups and even banned in several countries, and then became a hit regardless.
