Audition for My Fair Lady – A Regal Community Musical presented by Regal Community Theatre
We are thrilled to announce auditions for our next community musical – My Fair Lady. This iconic show will be performed in October 2025, and we’re looking for enthusiastic performers aged 16+ to join our cast.
Audition Dates:
Sunday 18th May, 3:00 p.m.
Sunday 25th May, 3:00 p.m.
Recalls (if required): Sunday 1st June, 3:00 p.m.
Each session will last approximately 2 to 3 hours.
About the Audition
Auditions will take place in groups. Auditionees will be divided into two groups to work separately with our creative team. Each group will spend time with the Director (on acting and libretto work) and with the Music Director (on vocal work). This will mainly be a group audition process rather than individual auditions. However, auditionees should expect to sing on their own with the Music Director at some point during the session.
What to Prepare
There is no need to memorise any script material.
All auditionees should be prepared to sing the first two verses of "Get Me to the Church on Time."
Those wishing to be considered for leading roles should additionally prepare a relevant solo extract:
Male Leads:
"On The Street Where You Live (Reprise)" – Bars 17–65 (no repeat), Pages 174–175
Female Leads:
"Wouldn't It Be Loverly" – Bars 20–52, Pages 25–27
Chorus:
"Get Me to the Church on Time" – Bars 12–45, Pages 188–191

Rehearsals
Rehearsals will begin in June and could involve up to three sessions per week:
Wednesday evenings
Thursday evenings (from 7:00 p.m.)
Sunday afternoons (from 3:00 p.m.)
Not all cast members will be required for every rehearsal, especially in the early stages, but please be aware this is a significant time commitment.
Show Week: 19–25 October 2025
All cast members must be available for:
Technical and dress rehearsals
Five performances:
Evenings: Wednesday to Saturday at 7:00 p.m.
Matinee: Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
You will be needed from Sunday 19th to Saturday 25th October inclusive.
Performance Fee
There is a one-off £45 participation fee to help cover the cost of music and costume hire.
